So i get the feeling that my clutch is going out and i was wondering who's gotten it replaced by a shop and how much i might expect it to rape my wallet.

i got quotes from 600 to well over a grand, just for labor. most places are ~700 tho (if you provide the clutch yourself)

Figure about 8-10 hrs of labor is what they will charge you, every shop is going to have a different labor rate so the price of the job will be different.
