I searched for this but didn't find anything. I am sorry if this has been asked previously.
Is there a difference is coil pack manufacturers? Reading on here, it seems that most people suggest the "R" type, but is that all that matters?
I have a 04 A4 1.8T Quattro.

people have been telling me to get hitachi E's. one of mine went bad after a month. my car is just a POS i think though. i think i am going to dump it and get a bimmer. :/

 

hiatchi e with the bolts. I swapped mine out almost a year ago and havent had a problem since.

 

ive had 3 different ones:
oem, BERU, STI... they all failed at least once...
so i dont think there is a BIG difference
