So lately my car is having issues with starting up cold. It turns over within a few whines but as soon as the accelerator is touched my rpms drop fairly dramatically before rising. If I don't hold on the accelerator then the rpms drop and the car shuts off. It'll then take a couple tries to get it back on.

As soon as the engine has warmed up a bit from this the problem is gone. The car gives me no problems at any other point. No I don't have codes, I am planning on getting it scanned this weekend if possible.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Change your coolant temp sensor (back of the head) and clean your throttle body with some brake cleaner.

 

im having the same issue, i wonder if changing that cts has work?
