I'm not trying to be negative but for future shoppers, that's pretty expensive in my opinion.
Yup... That is scary. But APR charges a fortune for the injectors... 500 I think. Plus their POS R1 diverter valve isn't cheap, either. Should have gotten a carbonio intake for that price. Yikes.
1600 bucks can go a lot further with a little more searching.

I did allot of researching and i didn't see anything remotely close that would give much better gains for the same price.

The KO4 upgrade kit from APR was like $2400 + install + front mount intercooler(prolly another 500-700 bucks) + Dyno time ect... and didn't advertise much better gains then the Stage 1 ECU + upgrade

The APR Stage 3 would be like $7k installed but then you would need to upgrade the tranny for all that power

Here is what i paid for...
APR tune was $499
Injectors were $500
K&N was $65
Diverter Valve was $159
Dyno runs were $125(think they did 7 pulls)
and Labor and tax was like $250

Unless you can tune the car and install the parts yourself, your not gonna find better gains then what i got for the price

first hahahah i dont feel bad for the guy one bit. a trikie is more suitable for this clown, so when he crashes he is the only victim.

srivkin : so what was the final stats on the dyno? and how much did it improve?

i got close to 1500 saved for upgrading but i dont want to get rippd for an extra 5 hp from a chip. so is APR and injectors the first reliable upgrade? or wait to save more for the turbo?

The base dyno was 129/152
After the install was 187/237

gains were 58hp/85tq to the wheels

Very significant gains and was what i wanted and was well worth it. Its a whole new car

Ahh, you also got some dyno runs. That's a bit better, even more if they used it to fine tune your car. Still, I think APR charges a premium for the same stuff you can source elsewhere.

Regardless, if you're happy with what you got for the money then that's all that matters.

why r u guys being dicks.....we all modded our cars and we all race. he doesnt knbow much about his car thats fine. were here to tell him how to drive and what to use. to each his own right? everyoone has gotta start somewhere

look dude dont drive like a f!!!!king idiot. yea take it out on an empty street or a drag strip but dont drive crazy when u barely know ur own car.

i went with the revo stage 2 software its called a "chip" but there is no actual chipping they just plug the comp into ur car change some codes and bam ur car is faster. youll need a test pipe though with stage 2

stage 1 -500
2-60
test pipe- with heat shield 200 without 100
dotn get an intake its pointless
save up for an exhasut

dont kill anyone. or ill see to it that ur a4 gets smashed.

I have pride in my a4. I drive it like it's fast! I don't drive fast, I drive it like it's fast. I'm stage 1+ with the apr exhaust and i'm pretty pleased with the performance. Lowered and tinted my car as well. I think this is the minimum a4 people should do. This is really how the 1.8T should have been besides the lowering the car. I love my A4 and it's enough power for me while still making pretty decent gas mileage. You should start with stage 1+ for mods for now plus the exhaust which cost me $800 used or $1100 new.
