I am completely baffled by whats going on with my '03 1.8t quatro. I just recently bought the car and a few days after I brought it home and locked it, it started beeping and would not stop. It happens randomly when I lock the car and I would say it happens maybe 1/10 times. I found out that the only way I can stop the beeping is by rapidly hitting the lock/unlock buttons on my keypad. Has anyone else experienced this problem!?! Could this be as simple as a bad wire or (God forbid) a more serious problem like a module? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.

 

I've got the same issue with my 2003 A4 and I have no idea what is causing it....

 

The alarm starts going off? Try disabling the motion sensors for the alarm by using the button in the driver side door panel near the trunk button.

there is a way to recode the sensitivity of the motion sensors with VCDS

 

I tried to disable the motion sensors and unfortunately that did nothing.

 

If im not mistaken, the car alarm siren has a battery itself inside. When these go bad they make the alarm go off. Might be something worth checking into.
