Coolant temp sensor location?

Coolant temp sensor location?

New owner of 2002 a4 b6 3.0. Bought two new temp sensors 4 pin (green) fitted succesfully. I can't find the location of the 2 pin (grey). Can anybody help with this. Thanks

correct me if Im wrong someone but on the 1.8 its on the bottom side of the bottom radiator hose on the driver side. Possible it could be in the same area for the 3.0

I think you are right, I managed to find a service diagram which shows it there. Cheers for the input.

just be ready with a bucket when u pop that sensor off.

It isn't on the bottom hose, there is a blanked off plug just above the drain tap but no sign of any wiring. This looks like a factory fitted blank and no sign of any cut wiring. Any more advise please?
