Default DAMN Blinker!!!!

My right front blinker is giving me problems guys, Ithought, "hmmm maybe it's just the bulb", I took a trip down to Autozone and replaced it. Worked fine for about 24 hours, then I notice it's not working again because my signal is blinking fast again, so I pop the hood work my way to the blinker, take out the bulb and it's just fine, I put it back in and voila, it worked for about 20 minutes and bad again. Can I get some help with this??

i have had the same problem over the last few days... i change the bulb, a week later its gone and so on... when you turn on your car, if it says that both the "right turn signal" and "right parking light" are out... if they are both out then you are having the same problem as me... just change the part where the bulb goes into.. i paid about $7 at audi dealership and its fine now...

Thanks but I think I fixed it. I did the clear corner mod this weekend and when I took out the bulb I grabbed a small flat screw driver because I noticed that one of the four prawns in the socket where the bulb goes was full of this sort of filmy tan stuff, so I scraped it a couple times with the screw driver and I've tested it a couple times and it's fine. If it acts up again I'm taking a drive to the dealer. THANKS THOUGH!!!!

bad ground is common on this ( dielectric spray is very cool ) I use it lots when sorting electrical problems

Never even heard of the stuff til now. I think the scraping did the job, cause after I scraped at it for a while I noticed that the prone was chrome again.

Mine's out, too. Is the ground with the headlamp assembly or with the socket that the bulb plugs into? I didn't notice much corrosion inside the socket or on the leads that contact the headlamp assembly (that I could tell). Would it be worth a try to just scrape around?
