I think the ground is in the socket, if you notice, those four leadsgo from the inside of the socket to the outside where they make contact with your head lights. It's very noticable, all you have to do is look in the socket and you will see that the leads are chrome, if one of them is kind of faded then scrape at it, if none of them are faded then you have a different problem.

scraping the bulb and socket seemed to work. I've had no more problems with the blinker.
