Default Diverter valve?? AGAIN?

Hey everyone.. I've been reading these forums for quite some time but never posted until today. I have a question I hope someone can help me with.

I have a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro 5-speed. 90,000 miles.

2 weeks ago my car started spewing oil out of the back due to a host that apparently had blown off. When I took it to the shop they told me my head gasket was blown, which i believed because the card had overheated a few months ago when my water pump went out. Anyway while they were replacing the head gasket they found my diverter valve was blown. They replaced the valve and on my invoice it says "MTM Diverter valve". One question I have is this an upgraded valve?

So they also did a Revo stage I flash on the car. Up to this point the car had been bone stock it's entire life.

So for the first 3-4 days after getting the car back it felt incredibly snappy and I could tell a huge difference. I blame this on the fact that I got a tune and had a blown diverter valve already. Now the car seems sluggish and non-responsive again... and I seem to hear a lot of "boost" noises outside of the car which I don't recall hearing the first few days.

Did my diverter valve blow again? ALREADY?

Thanks for any input
