Do ya think I toasted my CVT?
I have done searches and am familiar with the whole CVT issue.
I have been driving my 2005 A4 FWD with a bad TCM. Haven't had the money to fix it.
Now when I come to a full stop, once the trans is warmed up (after 15 or so minutes of driving) it SLAMS into what would be first, if it really had gears, then takes off. It has no other problems after that, and I could drive it cross country without noticing any problems other than my flashing dash, if I never had to stop.
Do you think I ruined the tranny?
$5600 is gonna kill me!!!
$1800 for a TCM is bad enough!
I am not driving it at all anymore, until I can come up with the coin to at least replace the TCM..... or should I not and look for a used CVT?
Thanks for any input

I don't know much about automatics but I have seen on two different forums problems with the CVT, here 2 members just got rid of theirs altogether, they said they'd fix it, and the new transmission lasts for probably 4 or 6k miles and it goes again.
