Does your tubo whine?

Shop told me it is normal for the turbo on my A4 1.8T avant to make a high pitch whine when I pull hard. Do you guys agree?

It's normal for any car with a turbo to whine. That sound is completely normal.

thanks. I have been hearing it whenever I go up a hill or pull hard. If I rev the engine while stopped, I do not hear it. It a very faint very high pitch sound that drives me nuts. It could shatter glass almost.

Any pics of where it located?
I think they put a new one when the engine was replaced, but I'd like to confirm by looking.
