Driver Footwell Flooded - Troubleshooting
Hi all,
New to this forum and welcome any input on resolving this issue.
I have a 2005 Audi A4 Convertible 1.8L (US) where the driver's side front and rear foot-well is flooded - at least 1" of rain water. I have mopped up all the water and have a fan trying to dry it out.
I know I need to check/clear the drains near the battery and brake booster. What I don't know is whether drying out the foot-wells is going to restore the electronics. Right now the battery is dead, the windows, trunk lock, interior lights, etc. are not working or intermittent.
My research shows that the Convenience Module will likely need to be replaced but unsure of other stuff that's been damaged or needs to be checked and how to check it. I found Convenience Modules (used) on eBay for a little as $99.
What other stuff needs to be checked before I sink money into fixing it.
Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks in advance - Denys
