I have a '02 1.8T, 5 speed manual A4 in West Lafayette, IN and every once in a while when I drive it it seems that everything is just stiffer. The shifting is harder, as I accelerate it doesn't feel as smooth as normal, and when i am slowing down to a stop, instead of the car gently rolling to a stop it feels like there is some resistance on the car that makes it jerk back. It truly feels as I am driving and the brakes are being applied lightly. But then some days when I drive the car it rides just fine.Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Parking brake? Disc brakes?
