I just completed the B7 A4 caliper upgrade on my B6 avant. everything worked great for 1/2 day and then I smelled something foul. Smoke was coming from the rear wheels, pulled over and went to lift the e-brake, couldn't.
Anyone know how to loosen it up so I can take it into service or what a possible problem/solution is????
Notes: I did the front brake change then ran up to a local shop who put the rear pads on (I did not have the rear brake tool and they did it for the price of the tool ($40).

 

those are cable engaged, so you just need to adjust the cable. sorry, dont know where that is!
