i think ive narrowed it down to a cam sensor. now to figure out which one, the retard/advance or position. not getting any spark now and the crank sensor is new, all the vac lines are good and the MAF is good. gonna be a long night again

going to bed to no avail. open to suggestions, checked timing (its good(TDC)). will do more in a couple hours when i wake up. is there any way i can test the 2 cam sensors to make sure they are good or bad
Crankshaft sensor location
Where exactly is the crankshaft sensor located. I have the same problem and I just bought the crankshaft sensor, but I can't see where it is located. The only thing that I know is that it is on the side near the flywheel. At least that is what I was told by Autozone. I have a repair manual, but nowhere in there does it talk about the crankshaft sensor, just the cam positioning sensor.
Location of crankshaft sensor
Thanks !

I am having the same problem with my 01 1.8T, I also had the PO322 code come up took it to the audi dealer here and they said it was crankshaft adjuster, crankshaft positioning sensor, they also said it could be caused by heat from improper oil circulation, check your oil cap to see if it has any sludge buile up. Im still trying to solve this problem my self, so any other input would be great. thanks
Thanks !
