Default Exhaust with CVT

I want that oh so sweet sound of a good exhaust, but my question is will I even get it if I've got a multitronic with a CVT engine? I almost think that since it doesn't change gears until I lay off the gas, if I were to go from 0 to 70 non-stop, the exhaust would just keep droning on. Any advice on this would be great, and also any suggestions on which exhaust to get and where to get the best deal on it, if you advise changing up the exhaust at all, would be great!
