Flashing emobilizer light
I had this problem for over two years and just finally fixed it this past Saturday. Check out this thread, it should have all the info you need...
DIY: Ignition Switch Replacement
It's a very good walk through, took me about an hour and I didn't run into any issues, just make sure you have the right tools. If you read through the thread someone mentions you can purchase a new ignition switch from autohausaz.com for $14. This is the one I bought and it worked perfectly. I have a 2003 so it should be the same switch if yours is 2002, you might want to confirm though.
Also, in the meantime you can normally stop this from happening. Turn your key to the on position but don't start it, if the immobilizer light flashes that means if you try and crank it it will immediately die. Turn off, pull out the key and try again until it doesn't flash. I think my record was like 18 times, a huge pain I know.
