Default flywheel help....

Hey everyone,
I need some help in making a decision....I've been talking with 2 different shops about some work I want to have done, and of course they are telling me 2 different things in regards to the flywheel. I want to install either a SPEC Stage 2 or 3 clutch in my car, but I don't want to pony up the additional $500-700 for a new flywheel. I would much rather just have my existing dual mass flywheel resurfaced. What are yuor thoughts and/or experience with this? If I go the resurface route ($100), will there be any "chatter" or will it run smooth like new?

Thanks,
Mike

If you buy your clutch from southbend they will resurface for you. Yes you can resurface depending on the condition. Also, you can find a brand new LUK flywheel replacement for less than they are quoting you.

I know that I can get it resurfaced, but I am looking for people with experience in having this done. Is there any chatter?

As long as the flywheel is in good condition, you shouldn't have any problems re-using the old flywheel once its been resurfaced.
