Default Fml!

so my temp sensor broke and I decided to replace it today. I got everything done for it (so I thought) and decided to take a test drive around the block and let it come up to operating temp.

once it got up to temp. everything looked good and about 10min later the sensor had gotten blown out and there was a good amount of coolant leaking out.

then when trying to reinstall the retaining clip it fell into down into oblivion where i can no longer find it.

you guys think i'll have to flush the system to get out any air? if so do we have a DIY for coolant flush? 1.8t

you dont have to flush to get out the air, just bleed.

sweet!

To bleed I just unscrew the bleeder valve and pour in coolant into the resevoir tank until it comes out the valve. with the climate control turned to the max and the fans on low.

that sound about right?

****!!

Put coolant in and it's leaking out the temp sensor. I'm hoping it's the new O-ring being a little small. i'll replace it with the old one first thing in the morning.
