And as an interesting followup, from 2PM mid blizzard, to now 6PM, it has gone to blue skies and no snow on the ground...

And to keep related to the topic, lol, does anyone know of any direct drop-in HID fog light replacements, or a premade kit? I might try out hand doing it, but I'm one that is better suited at the Lego style DIY (premade, just awaiting application type thing), than the drill here and cut there.

They are going in today, just waiting for it to warm up just a little more. Probably around noon, and I will have to bypass the before pics since it will be bright out. I will take some tonight around dusk and when it gets dark to post them.

just pop off the grills with a flathead and unscrew the housing of the fog light. It shouldnt take more then 5 to 10 minutes for an hid upgrade with fogs or with stock housing. It should be plug and play just dont go over 35 watt as this may result in melting the fog housing. But with the stock h7 lights u can go 55watt on hid.

I found this pictorial guide to replace the foglight bulb. Seems like a lot of work. Not sure that I will get to it today.

I thought I could just crawl under there and unscrew it and it would come right out, like it did on my Focus, but then again, this car is far from a Focus.

and u dont have to cut into the wires i think this guy did that to make sure the lights wouldnt lose connection. U can just plug and play. Just be care where u mount ballast.

With HID's in the fog lights, any issues with having them on everytime you lock/unlock your car? Would that put excessive wear/tear on the bulbs or battery to charge the bulb every time? or any OTHER concerns?

Go HID. Got my set from ddmtuning.com, the raptor set was $40, 45-50 after shipping. HID install is easy, plug and play, no warnings on the DIS.

Looks awesome, pisses people off (unfortunately), but no more nasty yellow. Install took me maybe 20 Min.

PM me if you have questions
