Front turn signal not working!

Front turn signal not working!
Hey everyone!
So front passenger side turn signal does not light up, and I get an error message on the dash that it's out. The side and rear indicators blink quickly when I use it on that side.
So I figure and easy bulb change would do it, but of course not!
Here's what I have tried so far:
- multiple new bulbs
- swapping the bulb with the for-sure working one on the opposite side
- swapping the holder that contains the bulb with the one on the other side
- scraping at the contacts on the bulb holders as well as in the socket
Still I cannot get that bulb to light up on that side at all.
What else could I possibly try??
And yes I've searched a lot, and people mentioned the hazard relay, however those people have had all their signal lights not working, not just 1 bulb, so I can't imagine it's my relay.
Also someone mentioned checking connectors, wire harnesses, using dielectric grease. Not sure where to spray that stuff, nor where/how to check for wire faults. I'm not familiar with that kind of thing on cars.
Thanks for any insight!

The connector grease goes inside the bulb socket, use only a little. I had a vehicle do this once, turned out the previous owner many many years before had used the point of a test light to pierce the wire to test its voltage, water got in it and corroded from the inside. I found the pin hole, opened it up (the wire) and sure enough it was done. Cut the wire there and spliced it and all was well. The point of the story is, there could be a bad spot on the wires leading to the light. Have you tried a test light in the socket to see if you were getting current to the socket?

Its the bulb socket. Pull the socket out & pry out the prongs that connect with the bulb. Also use a little sand paper to clean up the contact points.
One way to verify this is to switch the socket with the other side. If the problem follows to the other side its definitely the socket. There's another post in here that explains it. I'll see if I can dig it up.
