Default Fuel Filter

Has any one been having to change the fuel filter. I just did a research and found out that fuel filter are common problem for audis. Could the fuel punp go out around 80 thousands miles too ? I am just curious with this car because as soon you fix something something else is going to break..

i would say not likely but its possible. If you were producing more boost either through a MBC or a BT then it could deffinitley reduce the life of the fuel pump if you didn't upgrade your injectors, FPR, and had the proper chip/mapping in the case of a BT. Otherwise i would think the fuel pump should last that long. What problems are you having?

well right now im getting a big humming noise coming from the back of the car which i see it its the fuel filter, i think that the fuel pump is working hard to push gas through the filter and that's probably making the noise.

change the filter out. Its really simple. Just make sure when u order your new filter to order the right one. And when u change it follow the instrucions on a4mods but on the tabs that hold the filter in u can use needle nose and depress the taps push in on the fuel line then pull out. It only took about 20 minutes for the whole process.

I concure with pa4ul. Definitley take care of it pretty soon. You dont want to have to change out your pump if all you need is a new filter.
