Unhappy Update

So i change it the filter last night, and i did took it for a drive still was making the humming noise. Got up this morning and took it for a drive a again, thanx god i stayed in the neighborhood and did not drove it the the high way. The car started losing power when pres in the gas, so i though i should park it in the garage and jack it up and take a look over again while was on. Here we go the car got cut off on me and now it wont start it cranks but dont start. I dont hear the pump working anymore when you turn the key on so im thinking its time to change the fuel pump, more money to spend.

So everything back to normal after putting a brand new fuel pump, but have only one question, does anyone know where can i buy the plastics that hold the seat i broke one when i was pulling it out. Those are small plastics that clip to the seat and hold it not to move, i cant find a part number.

Thanks

ok i took my car to change the fuel pump becuz of that humming sound plus the pump gave out but the sound is still there, i looked and saw what looked like a fuel filter also but every time i go to the auto parts store to order a filter they say the filter comes integrated with the pump...
idk so imma take it back to the mechanic and see whats up, but like i said its that humming sound and i do think if i leave it its going to destroy my pump again....

i have a 2004 Audi a4 1.8t so i dont know what else to say about it

Pa4ul fuel pump is very easy, what you got to do is if you have quattro is under the back seat lift that up to unclip it and it comes out. fuel pump is located in the right side. take the cover off that has 3 screws and than you start unplugging everything after that you got a ring that holds the pump get a ruber hummer or normal hummer with a flat screw driver hit it the opposite of the clock and it should come off. after that lift the top of the fuel pump and unclip one of the wires and after that move the unit around to get it off and pull it right out. its like 20 to 30 min job.

Just one thing when you do it make sure you have like a quarter of gas in the tank because drives you crazy.

Mine cost me 233 with 2 day shipping. i got it from http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/8E0906087P/ES3711/

What i did when the humming came out was that the first thing i change it the fuel filter which was 10 min job. After that i saw the the humming still was there and after driving the car around the car died on me so that was the next thing fuel pump. If you havnt change it the filter yet i recomend you do because can kill the pump. look at that picture that i have uploaded up how dirty the filter is.
