Gas tank only fills up 3/4 of the way.
My apologies if this has been posted before.
I have a 2004 A4 1.8T. Last week my car was serviced for the dreaded "Oil Sludge" issue -- the low oil pressure light came on and the dealer told me I had the sludge issue. After a week in the shop the dealer said the car was fixed.
Went straight to the gas station to fill up the tank and could only fill it up 3/4 of the tank (about 13.5 gallons or so). Tried a variety of methods of inserting the nozzle to no avail to fill up the tank. Also, ran my tank almost empty and filled up. Again, I could only fill up 3/4 of the tank.
Wondering if anyone else has ever heard of this problem, or actually had it??
If so, what did you do.
I read on other forums that it could be a air bubble in the gas tank and jumping on the bumper should knock it out (I tried this and still could not fill up the tank all the way)..
Thanks in advance for any help or advice. I'm not too fond of the dealer I go to and would love to take care of this without their help.

Oh yeah, it's under 20-days. Already contacted the dealer regarding the situation -- they have never heard of this before. I'm sure I wont get charged, but that's not my concern. I travel a lot for my job and do not want to be without my car for an extended period of time again, as the dealer's loaner vehicle's are always convenitenly "out" or "broken"..
