Ok so I just got an 05 A4, and the hedlights seemed low, so i tookit to the dealership and they told me that they could/wouldnt adjust them because they didn't want to blind somebody. So I decided to do it myself because I like seeing where my car is pointed at night time, but I could not find the plastic adjuster for up and down I have the left right but there is no second on anywhere that I can see. Below is a picture of what I believe it is suppose to look like but mine does not, and yes the are HID lilghts not halogen lamps. any thoughts. In the picture I can find the adjuster on the left but not the one on the right. Oh and i copied this picture from another forum in here, so thank you for who ever org. posted it.

I know where they are, what I am saying in the circled on the left near the sticker with the lighting bolt I have and can see and turn, the other one on the right is no where in sight. Is it covered by something?? I just cant see it.

 

They shouldnt be covered by anything. On the 1.8t the one of the adjusters on the passenger side is covered but you can still access it through a hole in the airbox snorkel.

 

nop shouldnt be covered. you are probably doing this at night so get a flashlight.

 

i finally found them, they are obscured by some sheet metal which has access holes to get ot them. And there all the way by the fender. Thanks.

 

if you have factory hid lights the leveling motors will just put them back where the care wants them to unless you recode with vag-com
