Default Headlights and Modification

Hello everyone, This would be my first forum and I hope to get some results from it, I have already goten a lot of useful information from a lot of people on here but this is my first time posting....Here is my problem....

I have a 04 A4 3.0 Quattro It came stock with non xenon headlights and I was recently involved in an accadent where the headlights were broken I replaced them but insted of putting the stock headlights back in I bought stock Xenon upgrades it was very expensive...They don't work...Only the high beams work! The code reads it as 57-00 Electric circuit Failure...They worked when I plugged them in for about 20min. Then Nothing. Gone. I looked for fuses... no fuses for exterior lighting. What the heck do I do!? Is this simple stock modification not possible? Should I cann the whole idea and just get regular lights again. I was looking into the LED upgrade w/out the Xenon....Any suggestions. This upgrade has already been almost $1k in just headlight hardware...I got good deals on stuff via the interent I know it could have been a lot worse. What should I do and does anyone know how to possible fix this? Is there an easy fix do I need some new type of wireing? Is it difficult to do? Any help would be soooo much appriciated. Thanks Everyone!

if u paid 1k for the headlights i hate to tell u but that isnt a good price at all. U can get xenon lights on the classifieds for under 500 dollars.

No I paid like 400 for the Xenon units themselvs but just under 600 for the Xenon Ballasts... The Ballasts are the expensive part not the xenons....but Thats not the issue here....haha

u can use chrysler ballast. There are the same as audi and half the price. But if u want to save some money u can get the reagular halegons and get a hid kit from ddmtuning. The hid kit is 42 dollars shipped and carries a lifetime warranty. That is the most economical way to upgrade.
