Default heating issue

so heres my new deal

i decided to turn the temp up on my climate control cause it was a little chilly, i set it to 75 and cool air was still coming out of the foot vents (mind you it was 59 degrees outside)

i now tried to put the temp. up to HI and put it on the main vents to see if i feel the heat, still nothing. it isnt as cold as if it were on LO but it's luke warm feeling as maximum heat will not feel good in my new england winter. =(

i also did these tests after driving for about twenty mins so the engine is at temp.

any suggestions at all?

Thanks,
Tim

if theres orange gunk on the pass. side of the bellhousing its your coolant flange. thats the most likely culprit. is the coolant full? you could try bleeding that next.

Not really any other probs except running out of coolant and overheating.

I will take this opportunity to say be sure to only use g12 coolant which can pretty much only be gotten from vw/Audi.

Default Warm air on Hi setting

There are two possible culprits:
1: Your thermostat is kaput (stuck in one position)
and / or

2: coolant temperature sensor is not sending a correct signal

****You might notice that your temperature gauge only kisses 90 when you are stuck in traffic and just above 50 when cruising. Good luck!

The heater core is possible but less likely. The coolant sensor is common, but is kind of a pain to change out.
