Default Heating Issue....

My 02 A4 1.8 is having some problems heating the car...

The car gauge for the temperature is indicating the correct/fine tempurature. The problem that I have is when i set the climate control, it blows cool air out. Also i noticed a slight smell in the car when the heating was blwoing. It smelt similar to alcohol or something...

Not to sure what the problem is. Everything seems to be functioning perfectly. I just need the car to blow warm air so that my toes dont freeze anymore!

Any insights??

Thanks in advance

I would check the coolant flange to make sure its not leaking. Also, check your coolant level.

I will look into that. I doubt anything is leaking bc it was parked in snow for most of the week and never noticed any leaks in it when I left. I will check the coolant level.

Thanks for the advice.
