Hi, I am new to the forum, seeing as I am a new owner of an Audi.
I bought the 2003 Audi A4 18.T 2 months ago, 10 days after i baught it the coil went bad.
Then i started experiencing another problem. I'm assuming that the car is experiencing problems with power! perhaps a kind of power failure!
First when i go to start it in the morning, it does not start smoothly!
Then when i get to a stop sign of a red light and come to a full stop, as soon as i come to a full stop the car gives in and starts to go for a second. Like i will come to a full stop with my foot on the break, but the car will in a way get a push forward for a second. :S
Also, another thing at times when i go to press on the gas, assuming im on a stop sign or a red light and i press on the gas NOTHING HAPPENS. so i press harder, ALL THE WAY...and NOTHING STILL HAPPENS!
then i take my foot off for a sec and press it again and then it goes!
and it doesnt alwalys happen, it olny occures sometimes out of the blue to surprise you!

is anyone else haiving these problems????????
I love the car, it looks amazing but the problems are driving me crazy!
and the worst part is that the dealer cant find the problem..he says its fine.

if anyone can help PLEASE do!
i dont know what to do anymore!

 

i had a similar problem, stepping on the gas and not going anywhere, i had one coil pack fail, problem remained, then a week later i had the remaining three go at the same time... thats a shudder.
anyway, since they all have been replaced, i have not had the problem. when the three went at once, the dv also went. i have read in several places that a loss of power is related to pending coil pack failure.

yeah I had my coilpacks replaced but it wasnt a total loss of power. im not a specialist of any sort but a brake sensor that thinks the brake is engaged or something may be the cause of the problem.
