Help please - Windshield washer system stopped working 2002 A4 1.8T
yeah i had the same issue last week, looked at the fuses and one of them was blown , so replaced it and two hours later it fried again, so i replaced the pump ( 35 $ bosch pump) and the fuse now works like a charm.
These things freeze up... Literally get caked with ice, then the pump stops working. This causes the fuse to blow. If you change the fuse and try it again, it'll blow.
There's a separate pump for headlights and windshield. The fuse usually blows when you have your lights on, and they can blow independently.
Right now, my headlight ones aren't working, but I've still got the windshield. Too lazy to put in the new pump... waiting for warm weather. :P

Just had the same issue w/ my washer system. Was using it when all of a sudden it just cut out. Thought maybe it was the pump that went bad but then checked the fuses on the left side of the dash where i found a blwon fuse. It's the bottom row on the right side of the panel. 25 amp
Same issue in an 2002 A4 3.0. Checked the fuse(s), resevoir, pumps (i tested them and they work) as do the wipers but when I plug everything in and depress the stalk no pump noise and no fluid spray. Seems to not be getting electrical. Is there a relay under the dash or hood?
There is a relay under the dash. I've seen in older vehicles the wiper relay is in position #6, but have/want to confirm this for the B6's. Same thing happened to mine recently, wipers got slow, then stopped all together. I can hear the motor and still have washer fluid when I pull the stalk, so it's not the motor or transmission assembly. Does anyone have the realy panel info under the dash? I have in position 6 relay #370 part number 8D0 951 253. If someone can reply that this is the correct relay, I'd appreciate it.
