Default Help with specs on A4 1.8t

hi there i am new to this site ... wondering if i can get some help ...
looking to buy and audi a4 1.8t found one but its only 150 bhp model but wanted abit more poke to be honest ... was wondering what turbo is on this model eg k03 or k04 and would a remap see good return on power gain ?

150? I thought all B6 1.8T models were 170 or 190. Pretty sure my '02 is 170 anyway.

Regardless of that, you should be able to get a pretty good gain with a software remap. K03 is stock, K04 would be a bit bigger, but most people on this site don't really recommend bothering with it, as you can get almost K04 performace with just a chip and bigger injectors. If you want more, it usually makes more sense to go to a "real" big turbo option rather than doing the half step of getting a K04.

Chip alone can get you from 170 to ~210 HP, chip + injectors gets you ~230, chip + injectors + K04 gets you ~250. The extra expense (in both parts and labor) of going to the slightly larger turbo just does't make sense to me for the 20 HP it gets you.

If you're starting from 150 HP, the final numbers might be a bit different, but you at least get the idea.

If u upgrade turbo expect to upgrade piping swapping you dv new intercooler if u want to just buy the car faster why not get a 3.0
