Default Help with tire sizing please...

Hey all,
I searched the forums for tire size info and still haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. Plenty of people are running 18 inch rims but I want some info if I want to get 19s. I'm currently on the stock sport suspension and would want to get 235/35/19 tires. Anyone have any suggestions? Any problems with tire's rubbing? I like the 235 width but I've also seen people go with 225/50/19 when increasing to a 19 inch wheel...

Tire size calculator says that its an almost identical tire match (+.59%) so I figured it would be alright. The rim size is 19x8.5"

Thanks...

235/35/19 will work fine for a 8.5 wide rim. If you go 225/50/19 that will be too much tire and might rub with people in the car, but I'm not a 100% sure. The 1st number is the width and the second is the height or what the rim is rolling on, so the lower the number the more of a low profile.

Yeah, if I go with 235/35/19 i should have the same overall tire size as 235/45/17.

Anyone want to comment on the ride difference once going to a 19 inch tire with a lower profile? I know I'll be compromising some comfort but is it really that bad?

If you are planning to buy 19s, prepare yourself go to shop for wheels balancing twice a month. I am from Minnesota, and here we have a very shi..ty roads, after 8 months my rims were impossible to balance. on your place I rather go with 18, they look almost the same as 19s, but give you extra cushion.
