Default HomeLink problems

Hi,

I was trying to program my HomeLink system, but I could not get it to register for the life of me. What am I doing wrong?! I followed the instructions in the manual to a T (even putting my parking brake on...haha). Has anybody else had any problems doing this?

I had the light start flashing on my HomeLink console in my visor, but then when I try and have the HomeLink thing in my bumper take the frequency from my garage door opener, it never does.

The only thing I can think of is that I used a Vag-Com on my car to do the remote windows roll down and automatic door locking and unlocking all doors with one click. Would this affect it all? Do I have a bad HomeLink?

I had the same problem with mine not registering. What worked for me was that there was a button i had to press on the garage door opener unit itself. I guess this reveals itself to my car (Its a security feature on some newer garage door openers i suppose).

Here are just a few quick pics i took of my openers. The red button i circled in red is what you need to press.

Good luck!
