Hi. New A4 owner. 2004 A4 B6 3.0
I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this question because it may be something stupid that I am doing wrong. A manual did not come with the car. I've searched online and haven't found anything that seems to be my particular problem.

When I stop the car at night, the interior lights and fog lights come on after I turn off the engine. When I open the door, the car honks. The fog lights stay on for a while. Sometimes, but rarely, the car will honk again a little while later after I get inside my house. This will go on for about a week or two, then the car will stop honking and behave as I expect until the annoying honking starts again. About a week after I got the car, it was honking whenever I opened the door whether night or day. Now it is night only after I have turned on the headlights.

Please help. My neighbors are going to kill me as I generally arrive home around 3:30 in the morning and have to be sick of waking up to my honking Audi.

Question answered on another forum. Car has coming home feature. I disabled this feature and horn no longer sounds. Evidently it needs to be hooked to VOC to tell it to not honk the horn when coming home.
