How can I clean my fuel system?
Def do it. I had start up issues like yours and the dealer said the problem was a dirty intake manifold. They also said dirty throttle body but I'm not sure about that bc it was 30-40k miles ago that they supposedly cleaned it, but it was spotless as of 5k miles ago. I would start with seafoam in the vacuum line at the front of the IM, and a can in the gas.
I'm not sure if you are responding to me, but my car didn't have start up problems. Well i used seafoam today after work. I just came back from my high rev drive. I was really nervous about it, but it worked well and i definitely noticed a difference. I didn't put any in my oil compartment because I've heard mixed results about that and how the seafoam isn't good for your oil thinning it out and stuff. Plus, I just wanted to clean out my fuel system and I reasoned that the oil had no actual direct part with the fuel system so I didn't do it. I could be wrong. well, thanks everyone for helping me out. I even took pictures, once i figure out how to post them, i will. thanks again everyone.
The length of time/mileage of seafoam in the oil is a thing of debate. Some support not to do it for more than a short run and others say it's ok for longer. I did mine and left it in 200 miles or less. The issue is the stuff knocks a bunch of crap loose and you risk getting the oil pickup screen clogged and killing the pump. If you do the oil thing, consider which side of the debate you agree with and go for it.
