Can someone offer any info on how to go about gaining access to the headlamps without removing the engine? *I'm exaggerating the difficulty, but, I haven't a clue where to start.

It's an '03 A4 1.8T--If someone could maybe provide a useful step-by-step, or direct me to a site that does, that would be great!

Haha... Any website that sells them have a DIY.
Basically you need to find a good spot for your ballasts (in the fenders usually) and then just change the bulbs and connect all the wires.
