Default Diverter Valve Question

Recently.. I've been having issues with my DV... long story short.. I cant remember which hose goes into which end. Obviously I know where the Vacuum line goes but how about the other two?

Please let me know, for both the stock DV and the Forge 007

The way the hoses go all depends on the type of valve.

Stock or Diaphram type - The inlet on the side of the valve body gets the boost presssure (toward the turbo outlet) and the bottom of the valve body is the return and goes to the turbo inlet hose.

Piston type - Bottom of the valve gets boost pressure(toward the turbo outlet) and the side is the return and goes to the turbo inlet hose.

Thanks Mike.... but Im still not too sure.. the one that I have is found right here... http://www.forgemotorsport.com/conte...duct=FMCL007PA

Its the Forge 007. In relation to the pic... which hose goes where. From working underneath the car.. theres one hose that comes down and one thats aiming up.

I also need to know the install for the stock bosch dv aswell. Is it just flip flopped?

BTW.... I still need to get the right side engine bay cover from you!!

The 007 is a piston design so install it so that the valve sits upright so the top of the valve is facing up. But they do say that this valve can be installed in either direction.

The stock bosch valve is a diaphram design. You install it so it is sitting on its side with the top of the valve facing toward the side, the side port facing down into the hose and the bottom port facing toward the side for the return hose that goes up toward the inlet of the turbo.

Forge 007 can be installed either way. Reverse is said to have better response. Forge admits it can go in either way and doesn't affect their warranty.
Reverse will also offer more of a BOV sound than standard position.
I switch mine back and forth because sometimes I like the psshhhhh, and other times I want it silent. I really don't notice any better response either way, especially since I got rid the N249 valve.

Reverse on a 007 is: The outlet on the side of the valve goes to the turbo inlet pipe, and the outlet on the bottom (directly across from the small nipple for vaccuum) goes to pressure from the turbo outlet.

Make sure you are running the correct color spring. And if you haven't already done so, ditch the boost resorvoir. It's useless.

EDIT: And, oh yeah.... if you got the Forge used, make sure it is greased up well. They can stick after a while.
