hahahahahaha dont do it.

are you mechanically inclined? i did my thermostat, it was pretty easy. The coolant is supposed to be lifetime, but you can drain it all out when you do the thermostat.

Where are you located?

That's all stuff you can easily do in a weekend. Coolant plug -- did they mean the Engine Coolant Temp (ECT) sensor? I had to replace mine not too long ago because it was throwing a CEL (Check Engine Light). I think it was $20? The thermostat is about $100, and I just replaced mine a couple weekends ago when I did the timing belt. Easy to get to on my 1.8t with the whole thing torn apart, but you'd need to pull the intake manifold I imagine without taking the frontend off.

I need to replace my valve-head seal too, it's leaking and makes everything ugly and messy.

Are you loosing coolant? Do you have a CEL? What year/type of car/engine and how many miles?

i have a 2004 1.8tq and 45705 miles on it over my winter break my cel light went on and i just added a little bit more coolent in it and realized there was a air bubble in it so thought it was nothing big. currently i'm living near rockville md
so i'm guessing this is not a big issue that i can do myself if i research it online?
