hp on a cvt

Default hp on a cvt

i have a 05 b6 a4 cvt fwd- evoms intake, evoms dv, giac tune an prosport boost gauge... i was wonderin how much hp should b ok for the cvt 2 handle safely... i dont reallly get on it to much or even WOT it... any suggestions... askin cuz im lookin at gettin an elim kit

There was a thread already. I think there are some guys running GTRS ELIM on their CVT.

The internal clutch pack can't handle more than 300 horsepower, it will probably blow up anyway even if you don't do any mods to it. I wouldn't run more than a chip, exhaust, and a few other minor mods. An eliminator turbo is pushing it.

cvt shows 6 "gears" (they are really just shift points) where a tiptronic shows 5
