Default I'm a tad frustrated by how slow a B6 is

Ok so I have done some pretty basic mods to my car, revo chip, forge dv, full catback, Carbino intake and a few other little things. Im in it about 1800-2000 and I still cant beat a Gti with just a catback. I know these are big heavy all wheel drive cars, but by god this thing is just flat out slow. I dunno what to do anymore.... any suggestions under the $1000 mark to speed it up a bit?

Big Turbo, injectors, TIP andRevo stage 3. Might get it done for $1k if you find used stuff. You would eventually want FMIC.

But someone will always be faster.

Yeah, once you swap out turbo then you're talking. I remember the 1 and 1+ days and the car was slow. You'll be happy with a big turbo.

If I go 1+ will I need to front mount it??? also would there be much of a noticleble diff. because they claim 15% increase from 1 to 1+, but we all know how these companies inflate numbers...

You dont need one, but it would be better to have one... You might loose like 1-2psi but eventually your car would run stronger, and much better in a summer then on a stock dsmic. Here is a good info from Papachristou

If your still running the stock cat, take that POS out and put in a test pipe. Gotta let that turbo beathe! Should get you another 15-20 horse power if your chipped with REVO software.
Other than that, you need a bigger turbo.
