I'm looking to install a DVD gps headunit. Sterio shop wants 400 to install. How hard is it to install it. Also the shop told me they will show me how to hook up the safty kill switch so I can play DVDs while driving but I have to get it installed there, if not they won't tell me. So how hard to hook up headunit, n then the saftey kill switch. Thanx

 

is it a rnse or aftermarket. Honsetly iv never replaced a headunit in an audi but the process seems very straight forward. if u get the radio removal tools (can be found on ebay) u should just pul the stock headunit out and if u have the rnse u get the corresponding harness and it should be plug and play.

 

The most difficult part is to get the correct harness for a bose/non bose. Everything else is just cake.
