Just Finished the APR Stage 1+ install :) NICE
So i Just finished the install of the apr stage 1+ chip w/ audi tt injectors and forge diverter valve, I have to say its like drivn a brand new car " all smiles" I sent my comp to ECS tunning for the chip, sent it overnite to them they chipped it and sent it right back on overnite. just like thay say on thier website 3 days to a smile lol. GREAT SERVICE. this is on a 2002 audi a4 1.8t AT trans with 100k miles on it.

I was just about to post a question about this so I'm glad I found your post. I have pretty much the same car... B6 A4 with 110k and I wanted to chip it, APR stage 1+ (ECU flash w/ injectors as you know). However, when I called my local tuning shop to get a quote and ask questions they told me not to do the 1+ because it puts out so much torque with the AT's. The guy actually told me the transmission constantly wants to downshift only when you're at high speeds and is slightly shifty about it. Did you notice this? Any problems whatsoever so far? I'm considering this.
so far no problems, woke the car up alot, more responsive, i havent notice any downshifting problems, the tranny acts like it did before the tune. im also not always flooring it or beating the crap out of it so i coulld see where the guy has a concern, any stock tranny where u add more HP/TQ and beat on it might have a problem down the line.
Yea, so far that's what I hear... makes a huge difference. I'd assume so going from 170 to 235. Sounds like fun to me. Did you notice a significant drop in mpg or anything like that? I don't beat on mine either but I know I will get on it after the flash a bit. I'm assuming they'd use the same injectors you used for the install, audi tt 225's.
Yeah I purchased the stage 1 from APR and was very happy until I took it out on the highway. My 03 a4 has 74k on it with an auto trans and at high rpm's its a joke. I don't know if its my trans or if there is something else going on but it has very uneven throttle in third gear at high rpm's. I called APR and they told me to reset the kick down and reset the basic setting on the trans but none of it worked. I'm going to call APR and ask for my money back even though its been 34 days hopefully they will help me out since Ive been dealing with this problem. I'm so pissed cuz I wanted the stage1+ eventually.
so far the only problem i have had is loosing boost at high rpms, i search and found a thread that said this happends b/c the stock turbo cant handle the hight rpms and increased boost. if anyone has found a way to fix this let me kno thnx.
