Alright, I just sold my old Powerbook G4 15", and some nice Oakleys. I now have $700 of spending money! Woot woot! Okay, so I have a stock 2004 A4 1.8T with the CVT. bla :/. oh well it works w/o a problem (68K on it) I have a system already with 2 kicker 12's. I now want performance. What should I get? APR chip right? What else? Custom exhaust?

 

I'd hate to rain on your parade but the CVT won't take kindly to too much power. I read your posts about a K04 but these small turbo's carry quick, hard torque spikes that really F**k with the connecting rods, but also to the tranny. See, its a lot better to have a bigger and slower spooling snail (GTRS) that will have more lag but smoother power delivery. Hard torquey pulls are harsh on a more fragile drivetrain. Horsepower is over-rated and only has a partial affect on performance, its torque you got to keep an eye out for. I'd take those 7 bills and get the APR 1+. APR's software is a lot more researched than GIAC's and everyone agree's that GIAC's program is more aggressive and APR's is smoother and more consistant, which is what you want.
