Default Just my first audi used!! What now!?

Okay i bought the 2002 audi a4 quattro 3.0l v6. I bought with sort of high miles 100k, im planning on replacing the timing belt. I just bought mann oil filters for future oil changes and was looking to buy royal purple oil. I think i should change all the fluids as well. Any recommendations? Anything you would recommend doing to keep this car running great. There some existing problems, i think window regulator needs to be replaced, the two rear windows slide down. Should i buy the regulators or could it be something else? Any tips would be great any advice to a new audi owner?

that is the regulator. My dealer just basically suggest i not change the ATF at high miles (114k) bc of the friction modifiers that are in the fluid that would be lost, possibly causing the trans to die.

Yup window regulators are toast.

As for the trans ATF comment, thats bogus. Dealers will tell you that so you won't notice a leak and the trans will blow up. Who's the ones with the new trannys? The dealer!! Then they rape ya for 16 hours of labor and $5,000 for a trans. Always, always, always change the fluid in the trans every 60-80k, every 40k if you have a CVT.

Royal purple is an excellent oil for the 3.0L, it is a bit over priced in my opinion. Any synthetic blend (mobil 1, castrol, etc.) would also be good. The only real FULL synthetics are from europe, or Amsoil, even royal purple is a semi synthetic.

So at 114k would you recommend a fluid flush and change with a new filter?
