Default Bad AC vent motors / control unit

Hi guys!
I have a problem with my my 2003 a4.
Almost all 6 of the vent-regulation-motors behind the glove-box is making clicking sounds after i turn off the ignition or after i have pressed some buttons on the control unit.
They do what they are supposed to do, but after that, the motor just can't decide what position it wants to stay in... and it makes a klikking noise.
This goes for almost all the 6 vent-motors, but especially the heat regulation motor (8e1820511b) after 4-5 minutes after ignition off, it stops. (I guess then it has used up the power in the capacitors)

I had it scanned at the stealership while they checked some other things., and they said only that there was a code on one of the vents.. and it would be a costly fix..
So I wonder, since almost all the motors are acting strange, the possible wrong is the control unit (8E0820043J) that is sending buggy signals to the motors...??
Motors are fine inside, no dirt or dust or anything.
I can get a used control unit at a fair price compared to a new one..

Any clues of what I should replace? The motors or the control unit, or anything else?

Regards

Control unit, makes more sense. But cannot ignore the code though. Try getting the dealer to give you the code and do a search for it. I'm sure other guys have had the same problem.
