K04 on an '02 A4 1.8 questions
Hi everyone,
I just got an A4 and I'm in the process of exploring the possibilities to make it run faster and at the same time make it look cool, so if you have any ideas that I can use I'll be very thankful. I have a few questions in regard to the K04 turbo kit. I would like to know what exactly do I need in order to upgrade to this kit, or if it's pointless to do so. Do I need to replace my stock ECU? Are there other turbo kits that are better than this one? Do I need to change my stock exhaust? Please, little help... Thank you.

The k04's lag is pretty much non-existant but you'll max out around 250hp and you won't be able to hold that power until redline. You will not have to change anything else except for the oil lines and software. For the aggressive files, you will need bigger injectors, an adjustable FPR, FMIC, and tuning. Some form of an aftermarket exhaust is also highly recommended.

i like my k04 setup. i did not have too many options due to the shop telling me my original turbo had bent fins... after installing afe intake and one of the bastard gromets got sucked up
seems strong enough (not a porsche killer) but once i get my intercooler, new clutch and stasis ss i will be happy.
