every time i put in led bulb i get a error in the drive comp telling me my bulb

 

prob cuz u are in need or a resistor. where did ur purchase ur bulbs from?

If I order the High Powered 9 Led SMT Festoon 10mm diameter - Direct drop-in replacement for all OEM bulbs for my 2006 S4, this will not trigger the light bulb out message? Thanks.

 

Unless it has a built in resistor, it will trigger the message.

It's possible, try them out and let us know. Worst case senario, you have to install some resistors (which is fairly simple)

 

With today's economy, $20 is more like $50, lol. I bought two 10w 100 ohm resistor from Radio Shack but they are too big and won't fit.

 

Here is the resistor I used for the tail lights. You actually only need one resistor for both lights. I would offer you the other one in my set, but I ended up melting it by mistake

 

OKay from my understanding when i purchased these bulbs on the website it says the bulbs are 14 V Rated so that is more then the nessacary 12v required to not throw a code. when u purchase the Led bulbs check to see what their voltage is. And tiestrap ur resistor to something that wont get hot or melt cuz that suckas get hot real real quick. Use gloves

 

I wouldn't recommend tie-strapping the resistor, as it will melt the strap. I bolted mine down behind the lining of the trunk.
