Default looking into an a4

Im relocating to pittsburgh so I will be needing a new car. Im interested in an 03 a4 1.8t awd. It has 86k miles on it, looks real clean. Anything specific I should be looking for when I go and take it for test?? I was reading into the timing belts and when they should be replaced (i think it was 100k). Ive read about the sludge as well, any pointers on checking this? Any and all info helps guys!!

Also, does anyone do carfax's? WAULC68E83A294248

Actually that timing belt should be replaced like now or at least by 90 or 95k. Honestly I would pay a dealer a couple hundred dollars to look over the car. Do you work on cars?? That helps a lot with these bc the parts are fairly cheap but the maintenance is really high unless you find a good independent shop.

Check every option and feature. Read the manual so you know where to find everything -- it takes time, but may save you a lot of grief and $ later. Test drive it by an Autozone and have them pull the codes -- the history should be in the ECU even if they reset a CEL. Look at the obvious -- brakes and tire wear. And that timing belt is due for an immediate change -- factor it into your offer.
