Yes the lowering with kill them and you will either be doing the 6 hour job yourself or paying forit again. Yes the cost is high but lifetime warr on the shocks...make it worth in in the long run

If you keep stock shocks with lowering springs...plan on replacing them pretty soon because your going to ruin them quick.
It's a little more $ but replacing everything at once is easier.

ok do u think it will be better if i got coilovers instead of buying them seperate. do u also have to get a camber kit as well or does it depend on how low the car will be?

It would be nice to get coilovers if you lived somewhere snows because you can adjust the height. However, if you only drop a little then it's really up to you. I didn't get coilovers sinceI only dropped 1.2" which wasn't too bad in the winter.

You don't really need a camber kit. It depends on how low the car will be (I don't need it and my car runs fine). Also, I strongly suggest you replace stock shocks when you lower the car. Don't just do the springs, do them both to save you troubles in the future.

I went with vogtland coils for the simple fact that I could adjust the ride height to exactly what I wanted... also winters in PA can be a problem and I wanted to have the option to raise it in the winter.

As far as the camber goes, if you look thru the posts, I just asked this question a few weeks ago.
I am slammed in the front...tucking 18's by half an inch easily and its wearing the inside of my front tires just a hair. I'm sure if I raised it a little then I wouldn't have the problem. But where is the fun in that?

$2000 just for installation fee or included parts? That doesn't sound right if just for installation. I paid $350 for all 4 shocks and springs and both sway bars installed.
