Question magnaflow exhaust

I know I am getting magnaflow mufflers, but my question is should i take the resonator off or just do the mufflers?

coming from a 2.8 b5er...I put on the magnaflow 14862 muffler only...left everything else stock and it sounds great. I've got a buddy that took the resonator off and it is just way too loud. Mine sounds "refined" while his just sounds obnoxious.

I'd have to agree 100% Everyone I know that has taken the resonators off their cars has made it sound like crap, regardless of the car. Like Micah said, with the right muffler your car will sound like you want it to.

What mufflers exactly?
I got 14851's + custom piping +no resonators and it doesnt sound that loud.
I was actually thinking going with straight pipes to make it mroe louder.
But u get more drone between 2500-4000rpms cause of not having a resonator.

I was getting the 11224 because all i would have to do is weld it on. It is the same set up as the stock mufflers. But after today I think i am going to sell my car because I just lost another axle. It is the fourth one I have gone through in 2 months! Do you know any reasons I would keep having problems? The bolts keep coming out.

Who installs your axles???
I mean if u drive crazy on some crazy roads everyday than i can MAYBE assume that it is a normal tear/wear. But i dont think u do.
Have them inspect everything CAREFULLY before installing a new one. Maybe take it to a different shop for some diagnostic.

my friend and i have been installing them at his shop. we have had them balanced and inspected every new one. yeah your right too i don't do driving like that. it is just to and from work. it is really weird. i got my car at a used car dealer so i think it might have been in an accident before and something might me screwed up.
